Hey, girlfriend! I’m glad you’re here. Pull up a seat and let’s chat.

You’re here today because something is holding you back from becoming all that you were meant to be.

You can feel that burn inside of you. That longing to be more, do more… But you don’t.

You never take action. But ... You want to.

Maybe you’re scared and you let your self-doubt talk you out of taking chances or making changes.

Maybe you lack that support system that builds you up and makes you feel like you can do anything.

Maybe you’re just unsure of your direction and your true purpose because you can’t see past that image in the mirror.

Maybe society has told you that you aren’t worthy of a good, happy life because of how you look or the way you live.

Maybe you are wondering, if there is more for you?

Listen, I get it. I’ve worked with many women who have been in your shoes.

There was more out there for them and you know what, there’s more waiting for you too.

I found more in my life despite my difficult childhood. At 5 years old, I was in the backseat of my mother’s car as we headed home from school. I was telling her about my day and we were just enjoying conversation together.

Then everything changed.

A car came out of nowhere, turning across traffic, and there was no time to stop. We slammed into the car and life would never be the same. I was okay and my mother was able to walk away from the accident with severe whiplash and pain. The person in the other car wasn’t so lucky – he never walked again.

Years and years of lawyers and court dates literally drove my mother mentally ill. It was too much for her sweet, loving self to bare. Every summer, she’d be hospitalized to deal with the mental illness while I was sent away to summer camp or my grandparent’s house with no idea what was going on at home. Yet somehow I knew that something just wasn’t right.

At 13, I was brought into the decision making process regarding my mother’s mental health. My father wanted my input and to share the decision with me. It was more than I could handle – more than I wanted to handle, but I didn’t have a choice. That become more true when my parents divorced when I was 16 and the decision to hospitalize my mother each year solely fell on my shoulders.

Every year, I felt like I was breaking my mother’s heart. I thought I was doing what was best for her (and it probably was) but the decision never got easier. Of course, it didn’t help that my family isolated me and blamed me for “doing this” to her.

I never had the support that I craved as I put myself through school and tried to pursue my passion of cosmetology. I excelled at it, but never felt good enough for my now mostly absent father who was too busy creating a new life for himself to invest in mine. My mother really tried to support and encourage me, but with the depression and manic episodes she suffered, she really couldn’t.

So I learned to support myself.

I learned who I was and what I was about.
I spent many years in upper management positions and thrived at anything I set my mind to doing.
I wore my heart on my sleeve as I created strong personal relationships with others. I created my own “family.”

I realized that I never wanted anyone to feel like they didn’t have the support and love that they needed as I had most of my life.  And through this self-realization, my passion for others was born. I wanted the world to become a more loving and forgiving place and I felt like I could make a difference, one person at a time.

I learned unconditional love from my mother, some would say an unlikely place, but that woman loved me with every ounce of her being. She loved me without judgment. Without expectations. She loved me for me. And she never stopped.
The world needs more of that.

I wanted women to realize that they are more than their story. More than their past – no matter how ugly it may be. No matter how painful and difficult your story has been, I am here to tell you it is time to write a new story!

Through my own passion and search of purpose, I was introduced to the coaching world. This is when I finally felt my true purpose come alive.

Now I have the pleasure of working with women and being their catalyst for courage as they learn to love their selves and create the life they’ve always desired.

I’ve seen what is possible in my own growth as well as major transformations right before my eyes in my clients.

I believe with all of my heart and soul, we all have the abilities and power within us, sometimes we just need to be reminded.

Let me be your reminder.

Are you wondering -- Why the “Curvy Coach”?

I chose the name Curvy Coach because as a plus-sized woman, society tells me that I’m supposed to hate my body and hide in shame. I don’t think so. I own every inch of this beautiful body God gave me and I want others to know that they can love their bodies too from the inside out.

I believe ALL WOMEN are given A Beautiful

Mind Body and Spirit

No Matter Your Past

No Matter Your Present

No Matter Your Race

No Matter Your Size

No Matter Your Sexual Preference

YOU are beautiful inside and out

You are worthy of Life and all it has to offer

I’ve always had a great self-image despite being overweight most of my life. Others say that they wish they could feel that way about their bodies and give off the same glow and high-energy that I do.  I don't have the special gift of positive energy or happiness, it is the practice of the mind. I am glad to say that with positive enforcement, focus, and a shift in the mindset of limiting beliefs that anyone is capable of joy, peace and confidence.

I know that my gift is to open those doors for the women I work with and ignite the passion in their bellies.

The truth is, we all have an inner butterfly waiting to be born inside of us. We just have to release it.

I’ve worked with many plus size women to help them overcome their negative self-worth and teach them to view their bodies in a different, positive way. Now I have the pleasure of working with a wide variety of women across different ethnicities, backgrounds, lifestyles, and sizes to teach them to take control of their lives, own their bodies, and have the courage to be who they truly are without shame or doubt.
